MTV music awards (Kanye West)
I don't watch awards shows (too long, just...too much)I do like to kinda check in a day later and check out a few who-won-whats.
I won't watch the MTV awards, it seemed to become more of a stage for publicity performances than about nominees and winners. I do love Eminem and his music and performances, but not the crap and stunts he pulls at the awards shows.
This thing with Taylor Swift and Kanye West, seems real enough, but I'm jaded I guess.... seeing Kanye West dominate the media over it lately does make me wonder if it is his "stunt" or if he is just doing his best to exploit this thing...

In my opinion, Kanye West is an absolute moron. I couldnt even tell you one song of his, or for that matter, even what style of music he plays. The only reason I even know his name is because of the outrageous things he does and says (especially after Katrina).
Im tired of these idiotic celebrities using their fame to say and do things without any consequences for their reprehensible behavior. Richard Gere should have been tried for treason for the remarks he made at The Concert For New York, just a few weeks after the 9-11 attacks. Better yet, he should have been turned over to the NYC Firemen that were in the audience that boohed him off stage!
No, Im not getting political here. Bad behavior is bad behavior and these bloated loud mouths should be held responsible for what they say and do.
On the other hand, Beyonce showed incredible class when she won her award and got Taylor Swift back on stage to let her finish her acceptance. Ya didnt hear as much about that now, did ya?

So far, I've just read a little and watched the West clip off of utube....Beyounce looked shocked and motified, and Swift looked completely bewildered.

This topic inundated the media. I read on Wonderwall, a spectulation MTV may have been aware because it seemed to easy for Kenye to have reached the stage. The attention only benefits MTV. Also, Taylor's mother put Kenye in his place at the award show.
Kenye appeared on Jay Leno and when asked what his mother would of thought, Kenye was silent, then stated he had not yet grieved for her death. So, it's all about Kenye.. with no remorse.
Taylor Swift appeared on the "VIEW" and gave her thoughts at the exact moment. It was said after her appearance on the show, he finally called to apologize.

i have stopped watching music award shows, mostly due to the fact that i work a lot of nights. but i have other reasons, first of all, why support MTV? why do they host MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS? they rarely even show music videos anymore.
i also have not really watched the GRAMMY awards since Metallica was snubbed by Jethro Tull in the "best HEAVY METAL" catagory.

Yeah, I'm not buying that either really, playing the grief card there...I've gone through the whole griefing process and all it's phases with the sudden loss of my younger brother last year...ya know...I did dumb ass stupid stuff before he died, I'm sure I'll continue to do stupid things until the day I die...it's all me. Can't really put the blame anywhere else.
Every so often, I just do something really stupid that I regret.

They've been saying on thew radio here, that you'll notice Kanye ripped the microphone from the frailest person in the awards show. Think that was pure coincidence? If he'd of done that to anybody else we wouldn't even be talking about any of this. We'd be discussing how many stitches Kanye need after pulling that one... (They thought, if it was Toby Keith, he would of given Kanye an upper-cut to his glass jaw and sent his carcass flying into the audience!)
