Insomniac with Mooant
yup... 3 am... wired as all hell!
I've done the warm milk, the soft gentle music (aka white noise), the getting up and sitting up straight until you feel tired, breathing exercises, yadda yadda...
What insomnia remedies have you tried in the past?

Re: Insomniac with Mooant
A Documentary on TV. Even though I do love documentaries, and it can be about something I do have a strong interest in....just lying quietly in a dark room and listening to one narrating voice can put me right out, and soundly.
I've been thinking of getting audio books actually.
Bedtime stories!
(There ought to be a channel of them on TV for adults, all night long, every half hour a new story, like short novels, is read by someone with a soothing voice.)

Re: Insomniac with Mooant
They call those Infomercials Chazzy... teehee
Sadly I had no alcohol in the house (not much for drinking so that's normal). I do have some special migraine medicine with a sedative in it, completely forgot about that!
Anyways, ended up passing out at about 5:30 and slept for about 3 hours, till when I normally wake up. I'm painting two rooms today so I'm gonna be TIRED tonight. I don't know why, but I've been watching all the Survivor seasons, finished up 9 last night (had to re-watch the end of the last episode because that's when I was finally tired enough to sleep).

Re: Insomniac with Mooant
I'm having a little problem sleeping lately, just because the broken tailbone doesn't allow me to completely wear myself out during the day.
I do keep Melatonin in the night stand, and benadryl for minor sleep problems, and I have Ambien for other nights if needed, but usually a good documentary with one narrating voice....I turn the volume pretty low.....which means I have to lie very still to listen and I have to focus pretty hard on the voice to hear it, and this set up is pretty much hypnosis really, it's my preferred method.
