A few days off...
Well, I took a pretty hard tumble down some stairs Thursday, only broke one little bone, the tailbone of course. Other than that, I'm just a bit sore and battered.
So, I'm not going to be online too much....sitting down is not something I like doing right now 
I'll catch up with my mail later, right now just gonna concentrate on getting my broken butt to heal.

Depends on how fat the cat is, fat enough and it'll be all squishy and bouncy. Then again, you could still slip off the cat and fall on your ass, plus the cat can react and scratch you all up...

The cat never budged, I'm sure she continued to nap on the stairs the entire time I was being x-rayed and treated in the ER.

i got threw off a horse once went right up and landed spread eagle in the middle of a gravel road, felt like my ass exploded and all my bones in my back went clunk clunk clunk all the way up to my head, and we have black kitty too who turned into fat kitty, all three of them lying around for ya to trip and step on.the wife fell down the stairs from having wet shoes from the snow, i had to do the 911 thing she was hurt bad trip to the er and xrays ,nothing broke just banged up good. we are glad u are OK

I'm online for a bit today, checking into safety treads for the stairs, I wanted to do this years ago, rip up the old nasty carpet and just put down safety treads till we get around to the whole stairs/kitchen remodel, but for some reason we didn't get around to it....so it's going to happen this time, I'm very lucky I didn't break anything else.

Chaz, many years ago, during winter, my mom slipped on the front porch steps. Hurt her back pretty bad. I don't know if it's any cheaper but we used plain ole roof shingles on the stairs. Never had any problems after that.

I'm sorry to hear that  And I must warn you... and this is from experience. It'll never heal completely. You'll never be able to do a regular sit up again. I came down hard when I was riding bareback on my horse a looooooong time ago. I didn't go to the doctor, but I knew what happened. It'll always be sensitive.

Ew, I cringe right now at just the thought of a sit-up, hell, just the thought of passing gas right now makes me wince...
This is my very first broken bone. I'm still online shopping for safety treads, they are pretty ones, rubbers ones, gritty like sandpaper ones....I just want the safest ones. Then as soon as I'm healed and able to, there's two layers of carpet to rip up off those stairs. Till then, painkillers and rest.

Oh, I sure did bust my ass! Got a follow up appointment today. I'm still in allot of pain, sure hope I see some improvement soon.
I can stand or lay down, but I cannot sit down.

Still haven't done anything to the stairs yet, still in quite a bit of pain but ever so happy to come out of it all with only the one broken bone.
Got a big refill on the pain killers the other day but trying to slack off of them, I don't like pills.
I'm sure I'll heal quickly, I have so much to do and being laid up is annoying the crap out of me right now.

I know how much you love toiling around outside and just DOING things. Especially while the weather is good. I sure hope it gets to feeling better soon so you can continue doing what you love!

Get well soon Chazzy! Pain is pain, no matter where it is, or how it happened. Oh and btw Chazzy.... "safety treads, they are pretty ones, rubbers ones, gritty like sandpaper ones", try Lowe's or Home Depot. My parents have them on their wooden steps (stick on kind), and work very well.

Oh yeah tica, I do have my shopping down to something very efficient!
I use the internet first of course, I usually check out Amazon, there I can look at product consumer ratings and read the customer reviews, and it's easy for price comparing, and also get all the brand name info, and product specifications....then check for the same product at the Lowe's website (No Home Depot near my place, just a Lowes about a 40 minute drive away) Compare shipping...sometimes there's free or cheap shipping that beats the gas and time I'd spend driving for it so...just a few clicks and a few days later it's on my door step. Either from Lowes, or from Amazon. when I'm done, I'm confident that I got the best product, for the best price in the most convenient way and I'm happy with my choice.
And that's how I shop.
