Re: new foods
Berries are not only delicious, they also have high contents of anti-oxidants.

Re: new foods
Such a good question! I gotta say I haven't tried anything lately, but "pomegranate" seems to be the new fad trendy fruit/food.
They put it in everything to hair products to food stuff...I wouldn't mind just trying the fruit though.

Re: new foods
Not new at the moment but it was when it was served to me. I was 17 and had been helping remove the balls of some bulls on the farm of an uncle. Didn't know what they had done with those balls. That night after dinner they asked me if i liked the meat. Didn't even ring a bell. They then told me we had been eaten those balls. Gross ??? i don't know, didn't taste that bad. Guess eating frogs can be even gross.

Re: new foods
We tried an "ice cream" made with coconut milk. It was pretty good. A nice alternative to dairy or soy.

This brings a very disturbing image to mind. Are they made with real dragons or the artificially processed ones?

it is quite nice to eat, nice on a warm day straight from the fridge, it is white with little black seeds all through it, it has a mild taste, quite firm so u can slice it but juicy

Nope, it's hard to find good produce around here, unless it's locally grown and sold at the farmers markets.
have you tried it yet ?

Re: new foods
You've never tried it? It can be very expensive at the store. We have a bush in our backyard. 3, actually. 1 bearing and 2 non. The non bearing have beautiful blooms on them. The poms on the bearing one get ripe in late fall. Bad thing is, it's right next to the road that leads to the school... kids snag 'em as they walk by Ours seem to be getting more ripe as the bush ages. They're yummy... and yes, you can eat the seeds. They're a good source of fiber, but I spit 'em out.

Re: new foods
I'll take the Pomegranate juice over eating the seeds; there isn't much juice per seed, plus it's easier to drink the juice. JMO

Re: new foods
I wouldn't really compare them to any other fruit. And all of the fun is in eating them! If you get a really good ripe one, the seeds are a deep, dark red.... almost purple and very sweet. If they're not ripe, they're white and VERY sour! Not too bad that way, either, if you like sour.
