Where did you get your first name from.
Curiosity because of my own name. My parents took the first letters of all 4 of my grandparents and formed the name Erja from it. Some are named after grandparents some after celebrities, some after top-10 of names.
Where did you get your name from ???

My grandfather named me, my middle name is a county in WV, McDowell. I was named after a distant relative...I know she had to be mean as hell.

My real name, I've been told they wouldn't let my mother leave the hospital with me until she had a name they could put on my birth certificate, so....it's just what they spontaneously thought of at the time.
I hated it when I was very young because it was uncommon, only one other in my town and she was a much much older woman .

Apparently, my first name is the Latin feminine form of a tree.,,,and a
post-classical name made famous by Petrarch's sonnets in the fourteenth century.
I bet my parents didn't know that though!

My mother used the "top 10 Most Popular Baby Names" list. There were 6 of us in my 6th grade class! 
There were 3 in my school with the same first and last name.

I'm pretty sure it's a religious thing concidering my sisters name is Mary and brothers is John.

I got mine from the nurse that helped deliver me... she loved the name and my parents had so many kids by the time I came along, they gave up tryin'! People think I'm Irish because of it....

Beatrice, Latin, meaning happy, bringer of joy. My mother is Bernice and these were the names of a pastor's children. I believe he was a relative. I have a photo of their family.
Second name, Ilo, was my Grandmother's middle name. Twenty-one grandchilren, but I was a favorite.
Last name, original as well and I'll leave it at that.
Only about eight females with my name in the US.
