Carlos Santana is pretty good... there are probably a few others but we're still in vacation mode and the Foglifter coffee hasn't kicked in yet this morning... we may think of more at 4:20

well, there's too many categories here....
for blues it's got to be Stevie Ray Vaughan
for straight up rock n' roll it's got to be Eddie Van Halen
for classic rock n' roll it's Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix
for country it's Brad Paisley
for heavy metal it's Tommy Iomi (from Black Sabbath)
for 80's Glam rock it's Slash or C.C. Deville
there's a lot more. way too many to list!

George Harrison was hugely under-rated, mostly due to being overshadowed by John and Paul. The Beatles sound would not have been what it was without his riffs and licks.
And whether you like his acoustic or electric playing, we cant forget Neil Young.
