Chat Rooms Are Locked Everynight 8pm -midnight (EST)
We (the many regular chatters on WN) sure miss the evening chats with the site saying "successfully logged out" to all of us everynight. I know the Site has gotten many inquiries into the reasons for this (its now been 6 weeks). I would love to know the reason why this is going on. Anyone with the specifics please let me know. Thanks

i know that you are just seeking some answers, but we aree trying to keep it all in one thread. so i'm gonna lock this for now, it might get moved into the thread that is all about the chatroom issues.

There's a post in General Discussion and The support Forum about all this, but I sure understand your frustration, and wanting some details and updates.
The problem as you said Candy, did start some time ago, and is in the evening hours. Unf has been working on it, he's good, but since the chat software is not owned by the site, he has to work with kind of a third party with any problems with it....that slows down things considerably for him.
The best I can tell you about the problem (and I'm sorry but I'm pretty bad with tech stuff) is that the chat server normally does a nightly restart, it's this restart that is causing our recent problems.
From what I can tell, if you can get into chat before this evening problem occurs, you're good. It's after a certain time that no one else can get in.
Don't ever hesitate to ask any questions, in the forums or by PM!
