Bleeps and Pixels
I understand the need to bleep and blur out stuff for TV, but I was trying to watch an episode of something and couldn't get anything out of the dialog of the entire show for all the bleeping out.
If it's something "caught on tape"...Okay, I understand....but when someone is standing there looking at a camera crew, talking to the camera...and every other word is going to get bleeped out, I have no idea what they just said.
The pixelating and blurring isn't much of a problem, it's to disguise a face they don't have a signed release to show, or a cap or tshirt with a logo, nudity, and when it's a blurred upright hand, yeah I know they're doing the finger gesture, I can work around the pixels and blurs and still keep up with what's going on.... but geez, I do kinda wish some of these people could learn to speak in a civil enough way that at least enough of the dialog makes it through the bleeping censorship to give me a clue as to what the hell they're talking about.

I totally agree! If you can't use appropriate language on camera, then I'm not interested in what you have to say! Usually, I just change the channel and they've lost, what could have been, a fan.

I guess I'm young enough I know what they're saying without hearing the words that are bleeped...
Most of the censorship is good enough to leave in the first part of the word so you know what word it is anyways.

Re: Bleeps and Pixels
I pretty much can figure out what the bleeped words are, it's just when there's way too much bleeping, the whole dialog gets lost...and I can't get enough words between bleeps to figure out what the hell they just said...and all that bleeping does get a bit annoying really.

I find it kind of funny that a woman's ass needs to be pixeled out, but a man's ass is perfectly okay to show on national tv...

I have done just that, changed the channel and totally lost interest in a show or program because someone didn't have the sense to just speak without all the need to have two thirds bleeped out.
