Janet Jackson's flash
Tell me what are your comments on the controversy caused by Janet Jackson's Super Bowl performance where she exposed her right breast.

Re: Janet Jackson's flash
So what, big deal. I can watch reality tv with "pixelated" nudity all night long. News channels show breasts with the message "this might be shocking" all the time. Magazine racks across the country have skin from cover edge to cover edge. Teenagers are shaving down low to wear their current fashions. All this and I am supposed to get excited by a 1 second peep at Janet Jackson's boob! I say MORE!

Re: Janet Jackson's flash
I don't see what the big deal is about. I mean we really didn't see much of anything, except that she likes nippl jewelry. At least from whatI saw after the fact. Now if she had exposed both breasts for more than a few seconds, and we saw something I would see thet're point. But please, I have seen worse on night time TV.

Re: Janet Jackson's flash
I dont think its a problem to any of us, but what about the 7 year old watching the superbowl with his/her parents, the "show" is supposed to be for the family, there in lies the difference with seeing a breast on late night tv and having it at the superbowl, very poor judgement IMO.

Re: Janet Jackson's flash
Geez....I had forgotten all about this deal, it took four years to clear this up?

PHILADELPHIA
A federal appeals court on Monday threw out a $550,000 indecency fine against CBS Corp. for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Janet Jackson's breast-baring "wardrobe malfunction."
The three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Federal Communications Commission "acted arbitrarily and capriciously" in issuing the fine for the fleeting image of nudity

I heard this on the radio this morning too. I never really did see what the big deal was. I was flipping channels one day and happened on E. It was one of those make over shows that's topic was breast augmentation. They showed the naked upper body of the woman who had just had the procedure.....with the nipples blurred out! I about laughed my ass off. Do they really think that viewers dont know what was behind the blur? Maybe it's just me, but I found that to be ridiculous. Even with the blur, that showed alot more than Janet's single four second nipple shot.
