Upfront
When you already know the truthful circumstances surrounding a situation, ever just want the person/people to come clean and discuss it with you, instead of them keeping it from you, and/or blabbing negative comments and lies behind your back?
I'd rather someone come forward and discuss whatever it is with me, and I don't care what it is, makes everyone feel better, but that's JMO.
xoxo

Re: Upfront
Just go talk to 'em....from your very recent changes in your profile (going all on about the whore in the chicken coop stuff and talking about stalkers again)....I'd make the safe say that your pissed off at someone here again and using the forums(like this very post) and your profile update to get your point across to them. Which isn't exactly being upfront and direct either....so....just go talk to 'em...
And if so happens you are not talking about someone on site stalking and pissing you off, then it's the same, what the hell have you got to lose if you just talk to them? You can't worry about pissing them off and losing a friendship with someone who isn't worthy of having a frienship with?

No games on my behalf, just asked a yes or no question without going into any personal detail about any of the situation, and trying to keep it enlightening by laughing: When you already know the truthful circumstances surrounding a situation, ever just want the person/people to come clean and discuss it with you, instead of them keeping it from you, and/or blabbing negative comments and lies behind your back?

Re: Upfront
Honestly....ya can't stop people from talking, people have the basic right to love me or hate me. That's perfectly fine with me.
I don't care what people say about me, if I concerned myself with all that, I'd go insane.
I don't even base how I feel about someone on how they feel about me, I can think a person who hates me is a good person, and a person who loves me is not such a good person.
I can't control the thoughts of everyone else, so not gonna drive myself crazy even trying.
Sorry, it's not a yes or no answer.

Re: Upfront
Okey Dokey...since tica has edited a bit of the dark mistrusting stuff out of her profile since she first posted this topic, I thought we'd try giving it another go?
First off, I am truly sorry if I jumped on it a bit too quick with my first reply, I am really sincerely sorry about that. Geez...I'm just human...not a freakin' monster!
But ya know, (speaking to all) your profiles are very very important, they really set the mood, and affect the way people will react to you, the impression they have of you, maybe more than you even realize.
Hell, I even decided to take a quick look at mine and to add a bit more "fun" and lightness to it, doesn't hurt!
I'm not real sure what kind of answers Tica was looking for with her original question here, but someone wanna give it a go?

I agree with you. It's always better to be up front about everything. But, it has been my experience that there are a lot of people who are so, very afraid of confrontation in any form, that they will totally avoid a subject/person/topic, if they think it will lead to a confrontation of any sort. It's actually very sad for these people. It shows a total lack of self-confidence. Or it may just be that this person lacks the maturity to handle these types of situations.Sometimes it's better to look past the incident and move forward.

Re: Upfront
I do so agree with ya there! I kinda have (on site and real world) this three contact rule....I will attempt to settle something honestly and upfront, I will make three attempts...if those attempts by me are ignored...then I'm done and it's time to move it along!
Ya can't stop people from shootin' off their mouths for sure, I love an old saying I heard once "It's like stoppin' on ants while elephants come over the wall"

Re: Upfront
Oh yeah, once again, GG nails it and nails it with wit and humor!
Sometimes we think we want honesty, but we really don't.
Isn't that movie line from Jack Nickolson? "You want the truth...You can't handle the truth!!"
Someday gonna give me the right quote from what movie on that?
(Jack is so way cool)

FEW GOOD MEN:
(1)You want Answers? (2) I think I am entitled to them! (1) You want answers...(2) I WANT THE TRUTH!!! (1)YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! Son we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Wienburg? I have more responsilbility here than you could possibly fathom. In places you don't want to talk about at parties, you want me on that wall...you need me on that wall. We use words like honour, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'm as a punchline! I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd prefer you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!

Re: Upfront
Thanks GG, love that speech, kinda fitting for Memorial Day too, and really for a movie scence does kinda bring up that point, we (generalized) often think we want that truth and honesty, but do we really?
