Mimic
Have you ever, gotten a hair cut or style or dressed to mimic or were fashion influenced by a music artist, movie or TV Star?
I know the ole Farrah Fawcett feathered hair was requested allot during her Charlie's Anglels years, and Jennifer Annistons hair cuts on Friends too were really popular.

Re: Mimic
I've never been one to follow anyone else for any reason. I really couldn't care less about what some "fashion expert" thinks I should wear. I don't believe in throwing away almost new clothes, or anything else , because it's last years style. That attitude is what helped fuel the mess we are now in. reuse , reduce, recycle and grow your own chemical free food is the way to go.

Re: Mimic
i've always been a little behind the times, when it comes to fashion. by the time the "in style" is cheap enough to afford it, it's out of style!

Re: Mimic
Yeah, I think mimicing is something you mostly see in womens hair styles...who was it that did a music video with jeans that had the waist band cut off, and then everyone started cutting the waist band off their jeans?

Re: Mimic
Mimicking was never my fortay. If I personally liked something for what it was worth to me, I purchased it or I proceeded with enjoying it, depending on what it was. I say K.I.S.S. (keep it stupidly simple) no need for all the hyped up, frilly, prissy, superficial, artificial mimicking crap for whatever reason others do it (all of us are all genetically different, and I'm NOT knocking anyone), people do it for many reasons from prestige/power to other reasons, etc. Just be yourself, and don't worry about what others think about you, be true to yourself, and your life will go much smoother and happier. Re: Mimic
Can't remember who started that cut off the waist of the jeans thing...maybe J-lo? I do remember something about a Madonna movie where she wore men's boxer shorts and all the little pre teen girls were trying to do that, didn't go over well with the dads, for one...they didn't want their little girls running around in boxers, and two...they didn't like having their daughters raiding their underwear drawers.
