New words
Gawd, we just make 'em up as we go now eh? At least several times a month I read something with a new made up word like "Staycation"....meaning staying home for vacation.
This week it's "weisure" a combination of the words "work and leisure" and means mixing work and play...or as we use to call it....fucking off during work hours...

Re: New words
Is there a word to call new made up words like this?
Ever make up any of your own?

Re: New words
I don't think I've ever actually made up a word, but around here you here about McMansions a lot. Those are the cookie cutter houses that are all packed together on a postage stamp size lot and cost $500,000 and up.
These are those neighborhoods where the trees are mowed down and then they name the streets after the trees.
I think it represents those homes quite well!

Re: New words
That's a new one for me, never heard of that, and I do have to agree, the name does fit those kinds of house very well!

Re: New words
i think (but i'm probably wrong) the McMansion term came from WWE founder and ceo Vince McMahon, and the huge estate he owns. i thought that one of his wrestlers coined the term.

Re: New words
Maybe, but I gotta say "McMansion" does describe the cookie cutter houses pretty well, just like fast food..."I'll take a number 2 with a ...."
Just reading about a new book...Manslation...translating what men say...and another one I've mentioned here before, my hubs speaks "tantrumese" when he's pissed...no way of translating or making any sense of tratrumese..
