TV "penis" Ads
A bill may be introduced to ban erectile dysfunction pill ads from TV during the hours of 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, (To avoid the exposure of them to children)
This article only mentions Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra ads, but doesn't mention any of the "Natural Male Enhancer" ads, I guess maybe cuz the male enhancer ads rely of those oh so clever (not really) innuendos, etc...?
If they wanna ban Viagra Ads and the like during prime time, why not the Vaginal itch and feminine hygiene ads, or the hemorrhoid ads, or ....oh hell...who starts drawing the line where?

I'm not sure what to think, but think about how different it is now compared to years ago when people were disgusted by TV ads which mentioned stomach acid, and laxatives were promoted for "irregularity".

Re: TV "penis" Ads
I don't think anyone can get between large drug companies and their advertising really.
Other products advertised are more unsettling during prime time than the romanticized Cialis or Viagra ads...the Plan B morning after pill, the lady that re-uses catheters (major heebie jeebies) Vagisil, Tampons, and those KY lubricant commercials.

Re: TV "penis" Ads
They don't bother me, I usually use commercial time as "intermission" time, time to get up and do a few quick chores or somethin'....the bill to be introduced is because parents don't like having to explain things like erectile dsyfunction to their curious children.
I really can't see this bill going anywhere.

Re: TV "penis" Ads
Back in the "olden days" parents simply said "we'll explain it when you're older". What happened? It always worked for us.
Although, I don't approve of any of the drug company ads. The general public doesn't have the background information in order to make a decision as to their own medical treatment. Hopefully, most doctors are not allowing patients to demand the prescriptions that they saw on tv... just my 2 cents...

I'm with you, like to leave the doctorin' up to my doctor.
I don't have kids, but I've seen a few, they ask questions about everything. If ya can't handle that, don't have kids and TV at the same time I guess.
