How sexy is the single male?
I read about the ole "guppy theory" decades ago (I think that's the right name for it) That women are more attracted to a male if it is apparent that he is already attached or with another female.
I was reading the "Jon and Kate plus 8" story this morning (Bad bad boy Jon!!) and they were talking about a phenomenon of how attractive a married father is to women?
Geez, are we (women) this messed up and sick? Is this something more common maybe among the younger, more immature women?
The Guppy Theory, I know that is partly to largely true in the animal and human world, but this "married father" one is pretty new to me, and very....ummmm....ewwww...just distasteful...
Anyway...hell, ya'all know me, I just like open discussions, opposite opinions, I like to listen and shoot...ya know I like to talk....

Wasn't there something about a wedding ring experiment? Maybe it's something fictional from a movie, show or book, or was it an actual study of some sort, that the same men got more attention at a bar when wearing a wedding ring than without one?

I don't know about the rest of WN ladies but I am more attracted to the single male
Married men are nice to have as friends but not for dating
I did that once and I am the one who got hurt when he decided after his wife died to take up with another woman leaving me in the cold
I always said I would never mess with a married man again
I have a few friends that are married but that is all they are or ever will be is friends

I think it is more that women are more comfortable around married men . You don't have to worry that you are "leading them on", so you can flirt for the fun of it. No intention of following through - just fun!

Makes sense, but what if the "fun" part has an impact on his children...IE...causing fights and problems at home, which seems to be the cause in Jon and Kate...
I've known women who are primarily or solely attracted to married men for some reason.
I dunno..anyone follow the show, I don't..just reading them as the example for this married father attraction thing...
