Do you think it's true at all?
Just reading one of those little interesting articles about the differences between men and women, we do have our differences, I love our differences.
Do you think there's any or much truth to this one...that only women have what they call "guilty pleasures"? That women are most likely than men to feel guilt from over eating, over spending or just overindulging than men?
That men see such things as things that make life worth while, and women see them as a source of guilt?

Re: Do you think it's true at all?
I can honestly say that I think the article is more often than not accurate. I thought it was just my imagination, but I hate to spend money on anything that I don't absolutely have to have and Hard can rationalize most things as absolutely necessary. He doesn't waste money, he's just more willing to buy things than I am.

Ya know, come to think of it, I'm that way too Wild! The hubs had to force me into the car, drive me, and make me try on and buy new jeans awhile back....I wear 'em till they are so worn out they are falling off before I think I need new ones, I don't feel right throwing things in the cart that are just for me at all.

Maybe it's because I think of the money in my wallet, as the money for household expenses rather than my money. Hard pays the bills through the bank. The money in his wallet would than be "his". That would mean than that I'd be "wasting" household money on me... I guess....

I got jeans on sale at Kmart for $3.00 a pair and he made me get 5 pair. I was going to get 2 and make do even though my old jeans were really in bad shape.

Re: Do you think it's true at all?
It's not just money either, but time too, I feel guilty if I need and take a quick nap during the day, even if I'm sick, or I've had to be up most of the night(for whatever reason, like when I use to take care of the hub's old dog) I feel guilty if I spend too much time watching a movie on TV during the day, etc...

Re: Do you think it's true at all?
I work night shift and still feel guilty if I don't help out in the store. I know I'm supposed to sleep, but it still feels like an indulgence. There are always chores to do and ordering to do for the store. Yea, I'm like that too!
Last week it was 91 a couple days and I did go out back and sit by the pool. But I also got the herb garden in the back weeded and the patio swept while I was there...

Re: Do you think it's true at all?
OH I know it! I can be so sick, totally exhausted and I'll lie down and think I just gotta rest for just a bit...and all I can think about are all the things I need to be doing!
I can't bring myself to eat that last leftover piece of pie or cake either.

I usually leave the last anything for him and then he cuts it in half and makes me eat half. Otherwise it would probably go bad and we'd have to throw it out!
