Dating Sites
Good morning,
Would like to know others opinion about a lot of dating sites. How they promise you a free membership and when you submit you can look at the small thumbnail photo's, they send you e-mails telling you someones want to contact you but when you want to read the mail of that person you have to become a paying member first.
I was on one site and i received a request of a lady that she wanted to chat with me, everything was alright, we chatted a little and then she asked me if i wanted to start up a cam, told her i didn't have one. She asked if it was alright with me that she started up hers. I saw her view a few seconds, then all contact was gone.
With a chance you call me naive, are these sites pulling these stunts to get you to become a paying visitor ??? I think yes. Whats are others experiences.
To answer the question: why not becoming a paying visitor. If my wife would see the payment it would be war for a few weeks. Have a nice day
Reg

Re: Dating Sites
We know all about 'em dear! A few things here for you to read over.
dating site scams
In our "SUPPORT" section, under the FAQs, is this....
"Our services are 100% discreet. Your statement will show a charge from www.tritech.org if you use your credit card or from WTS if you use a check."
If the charge showing up still concerns you, google up tritech, or just go to their website, to make sure you are comfortable with your "trail being followed", or go old school and use a money order, it'll take a little longer, but no paper or cyber trail.

Re: Dating Sites
There was another post something like this a long time ago. He kept track of how many e-mails he got before getting a paid membership. Also how many he didn't get after paying for a membership.

Re: Dating Sites
Hey JC remember that one site you and I were talking about where the girls profile showed up in both of our areas
It just goes to show ya that most of the sites can't be trusted, that why I'm glad I found Webnaughty. I've met a couple of great people personally from here and made a lot of great online friends. This site is nothing but real people enjoying themselves. Lets all do our best to keep it this way.
And Britsexslave I hope you are doing well my friend

Re: Dating Sites
I find the banner zipcode ads so very dumb, sites where they pick up on your zipcode, then place the ole "These singles are in Yourtownsville" and you know the photos are in a auto rotation and everyone from everywhere is looking at the same "locals" they claim are in your area...it's just insulting really....

Re: Dating Sites
I've browsed and actually posted on other sites and come to the conclusion that a lot of them are outand out scams. I've seen the same picture of a woman on two different sites with completely different information, geographic area, everything. I'm sure there are some folks who post on more than one site and maybe vary their profiles a bit, but I cant think of a reason why any real person would post two such radically different profiles with the same pic. There's also one site where a lot of the female profiles from Illinois listed as their location small, obscure communities (some that I was familiar with) which had no Post offices. I'm sure these place names were pulled out of the Illinois Atlas and Gazeteer to make fake profiles sound real. My guess is that a real woman living in Squirrel Grove, Illinois(pop. 12) would probably not list that as her location on an internet dating site, but who knows. Another giveaway sign of scam sites is that a high percentage of the women posting pics look like models, and the photos look professional.

Re: Dating Sites
I once, quite some time ago, did some web cam work, I was honest about it, didn't troll around personal sites for my clients. But the company I worked for wasn't so ethical, they took my photos and made profiles up on adult dating sites,(they bought up blocks of profile space, made up profiles with our (me and the other camgirls) photos and sent out messages while we were totally unaware of it all. That's when I quit. It was just a sleazy practice, I was getting mail from those site directed to my webcam working site from really nice lonely men who thought I was just a single lonely woman looking for real companionship .
It made me sick and I wanted no part of that kind of scam.
