zip files
i tried downloading a few games form another site (Facebook), they are zip files, and in order for me to play them, i have to unzip them. the instructions say to right click on the file, then click unzip file. the problem is, when i right click, i can't find any where that says unzip file, and it just keeps opening a download box. maybe it's because my system is so old? i am running on windows2000. and when i tried searching windows help, i couldn't even find anything on zip files.
thanks for any input.

Re: zip files
As I recall, the last time I downloaded and unzipped files...it was something like...
I would unzip files....then I was asked if I wanted to open the files/folders I just unziped, then I would go in to the folder, till I found the file with the application extenstion...exe (I think) double click on that and the program would start the install.

Re: zip files
Try using your Windows search (for files or folders) and use the program/game name....if you get the download lookin' thing when you click, then the files should be unzipped somewhere on your computer, let windows search for it then look for the exe file or the application file..
Hey, I'm trying, I don't do much downloading....

Re: zip files
You need to get a program to unzip them. Look for PKZip or WinZip on line. W2K doesn't have a way to unzip files built in if I recall.

Just do a google search for free "pkware" I'm sure there is a free or atleast trial version there somewhere. If not search for freeware or shareware versions.
