Microsoft's Outlook Express
I've kinda looked around the internet, but has anyone every exported or saved all their outlook express emails?
The hubs wants to reformat his computer but save a bunch of his emails.
I've tried the "help" topics in outlook, and messed around with trying to learn for him on my computer, (big mess, gotta do system restore now)
I know there are little freeware programs to do it, but not sure about them, just wondering if anyone has actually gone through this process?

Re: Microsoft's Outlook Express
Also, export the IE's Favorites bookmarks, I know you can save the text folder, but actually export and import the favorites links...
(I'll be online trying to find this info myself, but if someone has already done these things, gawd that would be great!)

Sorry can't be of any help with Outlook. Not used it enough to provide any reliable input. Hum that sounds like a few other things in my life as well!

Re: Microsoft's Outlook Express
I tried doing it with the step by step instuctions on the Outlook express, and just ended up with a bunch of seperate files in a format that cannot be read or imported back into emails....
I can easily export and import the contact list/address book, but emails I usually just forward the must haves to a yahoo or hotmail and then forward them back after the reformat, and he might have to do it that way too.

Re: Microsoft's Outlook Express
Chazzy,
I'm sure about Outlook Express but Reg Outlook stores the archive mail in a file called PST you can do a search on your system for it in your search just type in *.pst to see if you find one. As far as your fravors you can burn the folder on to a CD
If you do not know what I mean eamil I will try to explan it better for you. Hope this helps
