A little surprised....
Well had to run out and gas up the car, grabbed some jelly beans....gas station candy was surprisingly fresh!
(My jelly beans dammit get your own!!!)
I guess if I"m going grab food from a gas station, I'd just as soon it be wrapped, sealed with a clearly stamped expiration date, not the hubs...who likes to grab those sandwich type things cooking and riding the hot lamp carousel

Re: A little surprised....
Okay....sometimes I have to hit the Hostess cake display rack or the candy bar isle...
Anything you like to grab 'n go from the gas station?
Oh yeah, if I'm heading out for a road trip, gotta have a coffee and some mints...

Re: A little surprised....
Gas stations around here are all convenience stores and rather pricey. We usually pack everything we want for a road trip and take it with us, especially since we don't eat processed food. I think the last time we bought anything at a gas station was a drink and a candy bar, but it's been years.

Re: A little surprised....
The coffee at a few convenience/gas stations is wonderful....one brand is Ronoco I think? They usually have several "tanks" of 'em, and all kinds of flavored creamers...

Sheetz (local convenience store) Has a pretty good espresso bar. They usually have a good selection of coffee, too.

I think the Ronco coffee is good too. I think the fact that it's brewed up and put into an insulated tank rather than sitting on a hot plate makes the difference.
