Craigslist experiences...........
I have run many, many ads on Craigslist in the casual encounters section. I try and make the ads sound intelligent and not insulting to the women I'm trying to interest  . Most of the ads are pretty lame with no thought or time spent composing them.
I've come to the conclusion after 2 years that women will read my ads, think about what I'm proposing and maybe after 3 or 4 days, might respond. They very, very rarely ever respond the first couple of days. The only responses that I'll get the first day or two will be from spammers trying to get me to join other sites. Hell, I might get as many as 10 to 15 spam responses to every one legitimate reply . Oh well, that's the way it goes in the world of Craigslist personal ads.
Has anyone here ever checked out Craigslist Casual Encounters ? Let me know what you think.

My experiences with CL have been similar. I've had more luck posting in the "Miscellaneous Romance" classification than in " casual encounters ".

Did ya'all catch the news in the past day or so????
Do you know how many times CL is in the news and not in a positive way???
It started out as a good thing, sorry...but cannot promote it, can't recommend it...it fucks ups allot of people.
We do have a policy here about not posting any websites in the forums, we do "namedrop" during the course of conversation sometimes, (we might mention google, CNN, utube, etc...)but the rule about posting no websites is primarily to keep spammers from filling the forums with their pay-for-cam personals,other adult personals site, and their personal pages (like facebook, myspace....)

For what I've used it for, I've only had good experiences. I've bought and sold guitars on there. I also advertised for musicians to form a band with and have put together a pretty decent group with 3 of the people who responded all of whom have also become good friends as well.

It's common now for theives to use it to find their next targets....pedophiles use it (they look for people selling childrens toys and items) the cops use it for stings and to bust hookers and thier johns, it goes on and on....
Just in the past few days...another dead woman...and yeah she's one of those who met her "date" on CL.
I'll re-phrase it...I hate to delete or lock and it's against the rules to name any other " adult personals websites" on this site...so name dropping while selling an old car is one thing....talking about the Personals ads of CL, that's going where we really don't wanna go.
We promote privacy, and internet dating saftey, ....it's kinda our duty.
Just google "craigslist murders".....geez...that's just the murders, we're also talking about rapes, buglaries, assaults, frauds and scams...it ain't worth it.... there is NOTHING I would post or answer to on craigslist...ever.
