Yellow light
What type are you? What do you do when you are approaching a yellow traffic light.....slow down or gun it?

In Cleveland everyone know that the colors are: Green=Go, Red=Stop and Yellow=floorit!  Unless of course your at on of those pesky intersections with the traffic cameras!!

I slow down or stop...the whole yellow light timing thing is a bit tricky.
I do tend to bitch out the hubs a bit, about how things are tight right now and we sure as hell don't need to throw money away on stuff like traffic tickets, auto insurance deductables, new airbags...stuff like that.

The traffic lights are timed to the posted speed limit. If you are traveling at the legal speed limit, you will have adeguate time to stop safely.
Oh by the way, I freakin' kick out the jams at yellow lights!!!

Mostly I slow then stop. However, there are situations when it's better to go thru with the truck.
Ya wouldn't want to be held up for hours because freight came thru the front of a trailer would ya? [it happens much more than ya think]

Lets see, if I'm about 20 meters, than I floor it. Anything further, than apply the brakes.

I'm kinda happy about the traffic light cams, it's helped the hubs to think twice about intersections....he's had one close call with getting a camera ticket and it's just money thrown away really. A few stops doesn't really save us any significant amount of time that merits paying a big fine for.
