Opt out for privacy
I just had to contact a search web site to have a little bit of private info removed from their search data base.
I dunno, anyone else do these occasional searches with your name, email, internet ID's to make sure "too much info" isn't out there?
There's a " dot org" site called privacy alerts...pretty interesting and very useful info there if you value your privacy as much as I do mine.

Re: Opt out for privacy
I do google my real name, and my usernames regularly to make sure no private and personal info shows up. If I find anything I look for the "contact us" or "opt out" link immediatly

Re: Opt out for privacy
Unfortunately, with all the weirdos out there, Big Brother is using the 'puter to find out all about us.
I dislike it myself. Just like what Lib wrote regarding Google St. View.

Re: Opt out for privacy
I've just recently gotten some of my personal info removed from a few newer "people finder" sites.
Sometimes, it's a hellish trip to courthouses, notary republics and having public records sealed to get info off the internet, which is why I'm very careful about putting any info out there to start with.
