Farm and Home
Ahhh.....just one of my favorite times of the year....the Farm and Home stores now have in stock....itty bitty, cutsey wutseyy fuzzy wuzzy little baby chicks...
Which means, when we go to pick up our big bags of bird seed this week, I'll embarass the crap outta the hubs making a fuss about how freakin' cute the damn things are....he'll just act like doesn't even know me....

good ole farm and barn, i remember when we use to raise them things. they grow in to big ole egg laying leghorns... brown eggs too, a little stronger then the white ones. then ya have 12 lb stewing chickens too. sure eat a lot of meal too

I use to raise them too, just for eggs though.....never had the heart to slaughter something I gave names to.
Mostly banties, cuz they make excellent mother hens and I had my white leghorns and Rhode Island Reds for eggs.
I love the Farm and Home store though,especially now with all the baby bunnies and chicks.

that's cool and all , we use to raise whit rabbits too when we were kids and duck had Pekings and mallards and muscoveys they tasted goood . then they all cross breed and we get some mighty ugly looking ducks ..

Oh Gawd is there anything cutie than wittle fuzzy baby ducks????
There were four of us women cooing over the chicks and ducklings the other day.

Baby pigs are cuter than chicks and ducklings, at least for a while. Just my opinion.
