i feel safety in one thing, and one thing only: the truth. from that all else is built, including relationships which men by the way need as much as women. without it, all else fails, including relationships. even relationships in a single room and by oneself: to thine own self be true. i feel safe with people who love the truth and desire to share more than anything else the truth. from that a world is built which survives even death.

no mortal feels safe within themselves because they sense their own mortality. but truth saves humans from themselves. it teaches them there is more to existence than mere survival.
