Good mornin', all We had a wonderful, windy weekend. Got some much needed rain last night... more storms to come tonight. Didn't need all the wind damage in Denton, though. Gotta take the bad with the good, I reckon.

The storms we had the other night passed through within minutes. Nothing too bad here. I hope our OKC friends are doin' ok. They got an F4 up there.

FLP, we've been lucky with temps in the mid 60's. Got up to the mid 70's a few days ago. Crazy Texas weather.

FLP, I'm sending the warm temps your way asap! Our maple and a few other trees are already starting to get buds. This Texas weather confuses the hell out of the poor plants.

Good morning to you all. I may have tweaked a few with my posts and interested yet a few more but I want you to know that I respect all your opinions both agreeing with me and the ones that don't.
That being said, I am here in southern-central New England and I don't want to send you our weather. It will begin to warm up a bit in about 3 or 4 weeks so I can wait. Hell, it's New England after all, right?

Yeh, I'm up and all slept out. 1:50am and ready for another freakin' day!! I'll wake my wife at 4:30, make her breakfast and of course her hot chocolate  . Then I'll get her ready for another day at work. She'll leave for work at 6:30am for her 20 minute commute. After that, I have the house to myself, in my robe  .....until I leave for my part time job at 1:30pm.
It's not fair......why  do I have to work?

Mornin' NRG, FLP, everyone
Today is my daughter's first track meet! She's been eating yogurt every morning and it's been helping her nervous stomach tremendously.... unfortunately, it didn't work so well today. Oh well, the first one's always the worst. Bad thing is, her coach put her in the 2400!! He said she had one of the best times. She said she thought she was gonna die! That particular event starts at 4:30 and the wind is supposed to be blowing at 10-25 mph today...... I'll be hanging over the rail or on the field screaming words of encouragement.... and I'll be there to catch her at the end if she falls...... And if anything happens to her physically, y'all can write to me in prison after I kill the coach!!!!

Ok, maybe I won't kill him. I'll just injure him enough to keep him in the hospital for the rest of the season
And I was thinkin'... the same thing happened last year when they put her in the 400. I thought for sure she couldn't do it. She proved me wrong when she came in 2nd at district. She'll be running the 2400, 800, and 4x400 (mile) relay this year. I think she'll be ok

First day back to school for kids. Got an assignment for work so I'm back to work on Wednesday (Yippee), cant stand staying at home, boredom is a dreadful thing.
Weather is spring like, sunny but chilly but really really lovely.
Eldest passed her hearing test and everything is good. loving life.

Well, my worries were well warranted She came in last, which doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the way she felt after the race. She almost blacked out several times. It was so bad that the coach took her out of the rest of the meet. The mid distance coach told me that he wanted to train her all along but never had the chance. He said he'll get her back in the 400. She said something last night that I agree with completely. About the coach that put her in the 2400... she said that he expects a lot from her... and he does. He has all season. He honestly thought she could do it and be fine. I know he felt bad afterward, though. You could see it in his face. He's a good guy, I won't kill him this time... I think he learned his lesson
