still alive and sorta well
well, here i am again after a bout with surgery.
what i did on my winter vacation
after years of the docs saying not to worry, all of a sudden a mass in my brain had to come out.
now that it's out, they have decided that it was nothing to worry about.
after a bit of trouble regaining what little co-ordination i had, i then felt falling down the stairs was a good idea.
fractured femur. more surgery. more learning to walk again. more staying at my mom's house.
but now i am back home, only slightly worse for wear. and they gave me a mri picture of my brain, so now i can prove i have one.
i've missed you all, but like a bad penny, i always return!!

Is this a nice way of letting us know you had a frontal lobotomy. It sounds like the same speech I gave when I had mine.?
Missed you.

"i'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy"

Re: still alive and sorta well
Glad to hear you're doing better. take care of yourself and get better soon. Watch those steps, they always say the first step can be a killer also, how are your nephews doing, did they get deployed to Iraq?

Re: still alive and sorta well
it's the deceleration trauma that got me. but it is nice to know gravity still works. and, apparently, i make very interesting sounds as i go down.
yeah, my nephews are over in kuwait. i think the kuwaities(?) kinda like us.
the strange thing is, they are both corrections officers. one was trained as a cook by the army and one as a truck driver. so, of course, the army makes them mps.
they are in the same unit, but don't work together. according to uncle sam, if trouble started, they would be checking on each other, instead of what they should be doing. he's probably right, they are very close. even lived next door to each other.
i have totaly disapproved of this war. even before the boys got sent over. but, if you have any extra dvds, books, cds or candy, why not send a box to some soldier? they get real bored between work shifts, and there's realy no place for them to go. it would brighten their day considerably.
