Of course............
I come home from vacation and what happens? F*ckin' dishwasher craps out. SH*TTTTTTTT!!
Okay. We trudge out into the snowstorm and go to a regional appliance/electronics store and plunk down $850 for a KitchenAide model with "free" delivery and installation. Not a big problem there.
The hitch in the whole painful episode was the shitty attitude of the counter person who took my credit card and delivery/installation order. She was very condescending to us  and seemed like we were a big pain in her ass. I wonder which of the boss's daughters she was? I almost walked out of the store without buying anything but being that store was willing to commit to delivery and installation and removal of the old unit within 48 hours, I had no choice but to sign on the dotted line. 
Have you ever come upon a store clerk who made you feel like slapping them across the face due to their shitty attitude?

If i come across someone like that i just say to them, "Sorry, am i confusing you with someone who is being paid to work here!!!". "If you don't like your job then get off your arse and work somewhere else, until that time, smile nicely and do your job, or i will take my money somewhere else and on the way out, tell your manager he has just lost my custom, now shall we start again"!!!!
That generally makes them re-think their attitudes!!!

i had one at kwick trip gas ...pulled in to pump nine got 5 bucks worth of gas in the truck to get back to town went in side to pay and get milk bread and some other stuff put the banana's on the scale and told her 5 bucks on pump nine.......she rings it up and tells me the4e grand total i right a check and go home , then next day next thing i know the cops are calling me on the phone telling me i stole the gas and then they didn't even have the right day and i don't have no receipt to tell what they charged me for but the cop had my receipt never go there again....

If there's any option, I leave the store. After making a rather loud complaint to the manager. Unless it's a true emergency, it's the only way to take care of the situation. [sorry bill a dishwasher is hardly an emergency]
The other thing i tel people who avct that way is "if you don't like your job, find another one you don't like. At least that way I won't have to put up with you"

yeah sorry VB but if it makes ya feel any bettah I still wash my dishes by hand .I here ya though ,in my estimation there isnt much room for attitude nowadays .

Well if you come home from vacation and your kitchen smells of standing water  from the dishwasher not draining the excess water from the bottom of the tub (bad impeller), then it's a problem. Besides.....I don't much enjoy doing dishes by hand.
So the decision to purchase a new dishwasher was a no brainer!

I'm not trusting enough of any appliance to leave while it's running. Had I left my bryer ona few months ago and left, I wouldn't have a house.  I wouldn't think replacing the washer would get ride of that smell. Your decision though. I'd of waited until a different place was open. Someone local and not a chain.

Walking into their establishment when purchasing, I'm giving them my money and business, and expect A+ service! I have a smealer-dealer meter..... If I don't get the proper service, I don't whine and/or fuss there's no need for that BS wasting my time! Poof...gone, good bye, I'll take my business someplace else. So VB, the casino winnings of $500.00 from your wife, went towards a new dishwasher? Poor babes..
