Winter sports
I've done a little ice skating, but that's about it really.
I've always thought I would love to learn some snow boarding and snow skiing though. I've only seen on TV the whole ice fishing thing, the little hut over the hole in the ice, that looks good to me too.
Shoveling snow is about the only "winter sport" I really ever particpate in.

Skiing and shoveling the sidewalk are my winter sports. The difference between the two is I fall more shoveling than skiing!

I've always wanted to learn to ski, we have a few ski resorts up by the city, pretty pricey recreation around here though.

It's no cheaper here in New England either! Actually, the cheapest place in the US for this type of activity is in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming surprisingly enough. The snow is all natural and plentiful and the the scenery is breathtaking! 
Once you learn how to ski, that my dear is the one area you must ply your new winter skills.

Well, if you can't ski, toboggan, ice skate, etc, etc, etc but still want to take part, come to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver during February. It's going to be awesome.

Getting to town when all the schools have been closed and everyone says the roads are all snowed-in, just to prove what a tough guy I am.

The latest craze around here has been, "Winter-Break-Dancing". Yea, it all started around the time the freak ice storm hit last week. I don't think my butt can take anymore of this, but I got the back spin down real good...

Skating, mostly on my ankles though when I was much younger. Then of course I've done skiing. I do like that, but don't get the chance very often. Have done tobogging and sledding, but that was many years ago. Snowball fights, snowmobiling and ice fishing. Almost forgot, shoveling too.

when i was a youngster, the Landlord had a deer stand, that he never used...in there, was a wrestling mat, like the ones used in schools, those things fly down a snowy hill...

If you want to really fly down a snowy hill, try a piece of corrugated roofing metal, makes a good cheap toboggan. Also, a big inner tube from a tractor tire works well under certain conditions, but doesnt always go straight.

A small, plastic kiddie swimming pool will do it, too! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

That was when I lived in Arkansas We lived back up in the woods on this up and down, steep dirt road. It was a blast!

use to ride a snow shovel when we were kids , when ya got tired of shoveling, right now the4 only winter sports I'm going to be doing is jogging behind the snow blower for the after noonif ya even want to go out there .....
