Fishing
I'm curious has your fishing ended, just begun, or is ongoing. Mine is ongoing just have to adapt to the elements.

Re: Fishing
Care more about just being outside, along the river or on the lake than I do about actually catching anything.

Re: Fishing
What I meant was do you fish year round or are you a seasonal fisher? And what do you go for primarily?
I myself fish for different species year round depending on the season.
Spring: Crappie, Pike, Perch, Salmon, Trout, Walleye
Summer: Bass, Pike, Salmon, Walleye
Fall: Bass, Pike, Salmon, Trout, Walleye
Winter: Trout, Walleye ( I'm not big on ice fishing but take my son ) so occasionally Perch

Re: Fishing
we seen them last fall we went camping and took a whole lot of water fall pics all the way from Duluth to Canada, goose berry 3 step falls and the rest, they were spawning in all the streams that we were hiking in the current you could of leaned over a rock and got them by hand all day, I'm not sure what kind they were i think something called spake? they had black fins and were silver with spots. we talked with a few who were on the lake front they were after Salmon, we came across a cable bridge over the bueil? had a guy with his flyrod just tossing line, was a good shot . rain all the way and fog on the way back

Re: Fishing
I think you mean splake ashkats, they are a man made hybrid between lake trout and brook trout. They are a very sot after species as far as sport fishing goes. Fun to catch for sure

Re: Fishing
I've always found that any spawning fish usually put on the feed bag pre spawn to build their strength up. You will get the occasional taker but for the most part once they start to spawn, their not really feeding.
That being said if you know when they are spawning if you go to the mouth of said river or stream a short time before you can catch a lot of them.
