Re: Armistice Day
My daughter is the president in the NJHS this year... they're having a Veteran's Day Breakfast tomorrow morning. She's been put in charge of making calls to other members, making sure they do their part to let the public know. They did this last year, as well..... I remember her coming home that afternoon and telling me that she cried.
I don't think it's enough that we, as adults, pay homage to our Veterans. I think we need to instill in our children the sacrifices that these men and women made and are making even now. We need to teach them to honor and respect them for giving us our freedoms.
No matter what kids today (and adults!) think about war, past and present, we should ALWAYS show dignity and respect to our Veterans.
We love you, we thank you, and God Bless you all!

Re: Armistice Day
I am sure that we, veteran's, appreciate your Thank You's. Even when we don't say You're Welcome out loud.

Re: Armistice Day
I understand Casual....I've heard from some that they are made to feel uncomfortable online on some sites, just because of "politics"...we don't do that here at all...
Regardless of our Political" beliefs, here, those are put aside, we all come together in supporting, appreciating, and caring for the welfare of our troops. That is the main intent in all our hearts.

Re: Armistice Day
Yes, I must agree with Chazzy. Supporting our troups has nothing to do with political affiliation. It has to do with enjoying freedom because others are will to protect and serve us in such an amazing way!!!

Re: Armistice Day
I appreciate all the support, that is why I have been serving over twenty years. I guess what I meant to say is that when someone says "thank you" I am at a loss for words. . ."you are welcome" just doesn't seem fitting.

I think we all understand what you're saying...... because "Thank You" just doesn't seem like enough....
