near birthdays coming up
seems it getting to be that time of the year again. the wife's id coming first then our son's and mine so should i buy her a cake or make one and then we usually go out for buffet , but we do that a few times a year ,,Easter motherday, birthdays and anniversary's kinda what to do something different then the same old grind

Wow, I dunno....maybe the wife is happy with that "grind"...I would be, it's nice to celebrate occasions with family, dinner and of course....CAKE!!!!!
Bake it or buy it, as long as it's cake!
As for shopping for a gift, I avoid Walmart, Kmart, and all that...I like antique shops, you can usually find something affordable, unique and best of all, it will only appreciate in value and sometimes these are the things that end up being "heirlooms" to pass down the line. Of course, I'm such a history freak.

i understand the old stuff and in antique shops once in a while my brother colects old bottles, pre probition glass and nothing wrong with history, she would rather have a new top or jeans not that she needs them , maybe a old necklas or bangles or something, rings.....we both can use new watches ....
