Internet trust
The internet, as much as I just love it, seems to have chisled away some of my trust, made me a bit more skeptical.
With photo editing, video editing, stupid alarmist emails and internet rumors, I find that I check out every thing anymore before accepting, believing, and especially forwarding.
I know, we've all been fooled by those virus emails, remarkable photos or footage floating around that turn out to be hoaxes.
Has the internet made you a little more skeptical too?

Re: Internet trust
As for the viruses and junk mail, I have made peace with the Internet. As for someone who was scammed out of $2800, I have learned my lesson!
I check my bank balance every day. One day, I check it and I see a debit for the $2800 from a shoe store in freakin' Bronx NY. I have never dealt with such a place in the Bronx and certainly never purchased or authorized any sale for freakin' shoes. The bank caught it and called me the next day. After about 5 minutes, the debit was frozen and my account was credited with that amount.
Be very careful when you check your bank balance. When you log on to your bank with your username and password, that's when the scammers grab your password and go crazy.
Once they have that info, they can shop and shop and shop until your account is dry.

Re: Internet trust
isn't the term "internet trust" an oxymoron?

Re: Internet trust
Not an oxymoron to me at all, I use the internet to debunk crap and find the truth.
I don't trust everything I see or read as the truth, until I can verify it, or find enough reliable information from credible sources to form an intelligent opinion.
I see no oxymoron at all.
