Travel Mode
What is your favourite mode of vacation travel (car, air, etc.)?
and
Do you have a favourite place that you always like to return to?
My favourite is by ship... I'm crazy about cruising... going again in Feb. Can't wait!
I don't have a favourite destination though.

We like to go by air and to Las Vegas. Been there twice now and would like to get back there soon.

Re: Travel Mode
I prefer to fly. I would rather spend my time at the destination and not in route. I have been numerous places and I adore San Diego, it is so wonderful out there but there are so many places I have yet to visit. Tuscany is at the top of my list.

Re: Travel Mode
I'd rather drive/ride in the vehicle. As much as it sucks having to sit in the car for long hours, etc... I like to see things along the way. Stop when we want, etc.
It's not the destination, it's the journey.

An Alaskan train trip in Canada starting from Nova Scotia traveling through the whole country of Canada to the destination of Alaska, I heard it's worth it in every way!

xox You're right Tica, it is well worth it if you can afford it. I've never done that but I keep saying one day I will. It's quite expensive. Alaska is beautiful in the summer... I've taken a cruise there... now that is also well worth doing.

Re: Travel Mode
I like the train. I always get a seat near the car where the bar is located.

Re: Travel Mode
yep trains nothing like the nostalgia of riding a train.
use to take Amtrak from Chicago to Milwaukee a few times and once to Florida, the ride is great gentle rocking back and forth and it don't seem like your moving in a 60 foot car , and ya the bar is great and so is the sky deck. now they got the metra more commuter then passenger. or ya can got to north freedom and green bay and ride a train the old ones that are coal and steam power...oh Duluth ya can ride one along the arrowhead of lake Superior north aways, up in Leona WI ya can take the lumber jack special too
