Why are we here?
I was just wondering that today.
My friend put my profile on here, as a bit of a laugh over three years ago now, and i stayed around as i made some great friends. I have a really stressful job and a busy social life, so it's good to escape here to my friends I've made to have a laugh.
I haven't just made some great friends, I've made some very very special ones too 
So why did you join, but what keeps you here??

We thought we would find someone to share our experiences with, but have actually have found much, much more. We now have some very special friends here, I only wish that we could see them in person and much more often.

We joint to have fun and escape our "normal" lives. didnt realise we would make such wonderful, caring and loving friends as we have.
Wouldnt want to leave as we both have a laugh, fun and yes, exciting times.
So for us WN is our time and our place.

Most people know I joined because I'd caught my kid's dad on here (and many other sites) and thought what was good for the goose...I stay and return because I enjoy the people so much. The forums are my favorite places, you won't find me in the chat room anymore, unless of course I see someone special from the forums in there. The chat rooms were so much fun for such a long time but so many people have come and gone since that time...

I joined because I thought I might meet women for sex.----Silly me. I have met some very nice people on here. One family and one mechanic in person. 
I stay to aggravate people.  [joking, most of what I do is for stress relief]

honestly, i joined to get laid . i think that's the main reason we all joined.
i stayed for the food!!! (just kidding, although there's quite a few here that i wouldn't mind eating...  )
i stay, cuz i've made a ton of friends, and i make new ones almost every day!

I joined ages ago, when I first changed my life from being gone all the time and had tons of friends, a wide circle, I joined this site and others to counteract my new more isolated life.
Why I am still here is because I like to help keep this site going for others, those that need to socialize and those that just wanna hook up . I like to see this place be a place where people can find what they can't find anywhere else on the net. Too many sites form cliques. I like to be here to see that the overall health of the site is well balanced, especially the forums. (I know, sometimes I truly fail at it, but my intentions are good)
I've come to mother hen this site way more than I come here for my own personal needs or attention. I want what's good for the site, I want noobs to come in and feel right away that this is the place they've been looking for, that this is the place where they will be welcomed from the git-go, that this place is a shared playground and they don't have to work around or break into any cliques to enjoy it.
I just want to come here everyday, and even if I don't get to post much cuz I'm a bit busy helping someone else navigate the site, find what they are looking for, making them feel comfortable here, encouraging them to be active here, and answering any questions...that's fine with me, attracting more people is good for all of us, and good for the future and well being of the site.

To be honest, I dont even know how I found this site. And I think I was on here for over a year before I ever posted anything. I guess it was more like a people watching thing at first, reading what all of the characters were saying. The characters turned into personalities and then alot turned into friends, both on WN and off.

always been just to escape reality for a minute or two at a time... or find a laugh. over time i've lost the need to look for either but its still a source of interest just to see how the site plays out and see the personalities come and go... other than the name this site has evolved into several totally different things since i've been here.

I came across the site by accident, and it looked like a fun place to escape to.
When you have a job like mine and deal with the stuff i come across it's good to get away somewhere for a bit of fun and some laughs. That's why it's so good to keep it so light heated and fun here for us all to escape to.
I have made some great friends so i stick around for them.
