The price at the pump may drop a bit more before OPEC meets in Algeria next month. OPEC would like to see the per barrel price up to $75 from the low of about $50 now. That could mean somewhere about $2 per gallon  at the pump. To try and force the per barrel price up, they'll have to cut production but a lot of the OPEC members won't go along with that. Stay tuned......

Slightly  but I have a theory about OPEC and their meeting next month in Algiers. My thinking is they know any kind of OPEC move in retribution to the falling price of crude such as cutting the supply, would only drive the industrialized nations and their auto makers to produce more and more hybrid and electric cars thus minimizing their impact. The less we need fossil fuels for our cars, the less OPEC's importance is.
I think they'll vote not to cut production. Again, this is just a feeling and hope I have.

This morning they said that the price of gas may go below $1.00 per gallon. Not so sure about that though, but I could see it get close to a $1.00.

We FINALLY caught up with the rest of you guys and dipped under the $2 mark. Although most places around here are still $2.05 - $2.09, I saw 1 place at $1.99 yesterday.

Murphys USA was running a special over the weekend. $1.21/gal! Had a local radio station there, live band, the works! It's back up to $1.49 now. What sucks is that I filled up the night before
