Name songs used for commercials
I know tons of popular tunes have been used in ads and commercials, just curious of how many ya'all can think of...only one comes to mind right now...Dirty Vegas - Days Go By...for Toyota I think?

Chevrolet has used quite a few...
remember "like a rock" by Bob Seger?, or "this is our country" by John Mellencamp?
remember the Nike commercial, where the guy is on the operating table...with Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" in the background...

"Saved By Zero" by the Fixx in the current Toyota ad campaign. I never liked it before and must have been on 30 times during yesterday's Bills - Dolphins game. It wasnt just the game that pissed me off!

Target is currently running a commercial with a Dolly Parton song. And, the name of the song escapes me at the moment. But, what is a bit different is that they actually have Dolly singing her song in the commercial.

I think, LandH..that the song was used for women's menstrual OTC medication, like Midol or Pamprin...Maybe it was used for both commercials?
ATT use to use old classic songs like "The Load"....and an Alllman Brothers song for their ads.

This song wasn't in a commercial, but I just had to mention it. I've always liked Metallica... my kids love 'em! I thought it was cool when they did their rendition of "Whiskey in the Jar"..... but I heard something the other day that just threw me for a loop! They actually did a remake of a Waylon song... "Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out of Hand"......... Everyone around here liked it except me. I can tolerate remakes... but you can't improve on perfection! I reckon it's meant to be a tribute.. I don't know... I guess I'd just rather here it from The Man!

Gieco's new commercials use the song "Tell me more" but I gotta say, at first the commercials were just weird (Ya know the stack of bills with eyes....That's the money you could be saving...)

i've seen those commercials too, with the stack of bills that have the googlie eyes...but the ones i've seen had the song "some body's watching me", by Rockwell (featuring Micheal Jackson)

and I think Gain Laundry detergent is using the old 80's song "Take my Breath Away", I'm thinkin' it was also used in the Tom Cruise movie "Top Gun" and the band was Berlin?

Dammit, that salad dressing commmercial, Hidden Valley...I was wondering if it was a song from the sixties, or was it just retro sounding?
I googled a bit and got two repeat answers...one is that it's some song done by "The Monkees" and the other answer is "Say Valley Maker" by Smog
Anyone know for sure?

Recently I saw a TUMS commercial using a Todd Rudgren song but that was late last night and now I'm not sure what song was used, was it "Hello, it's me"?
It's kinda funny really, Hidden Valley has been using that theme song forever and it wasn't till the other day that my curiosity got to me enough to try to google it...

what about the "GUITAR HERO" commercials where they steal that classic scene fro m "Risky Business" using Bob Seeger's "Old Time Rock n' Roll"...until the new one advertising "Metallica's Guitar Hero"...that's pretty funny, if ain't seen it yet, watch for it...
