I have thought about it, just never checked the cost.

Re: Glamour Shots?
I think they're quite nice, never had one done, but...it use to be a luxury to have your portrait painted, and Glamour shots is one modern way to have that beautiful portrait done.
I know they use to be a little skimpy on the creativity as far as poses, backdrops and props....allot of the ones I saw were the same poses, with the same hat or prop...I see no reason why you couldn't insist on adding your own touch though...
I think with computers, photo editing software, and digital cameras, people can take their own "glamour shots" that are as good if not better than the studio ones.

Re: Glamour Shots?
Had a few friends who did it. I was never for the over-glazed look of caked on make-up. Just to me, doesn't fit any of those girls that i've seen get them done. I'm sure it gives you a whole different feeling when doing so. But I'd want the picture to reflect who you are as an every day individual. Which I can't really point fingers on that because, I too like to get all dressed up and pretty every now and then so I'm not gonna say anymore. lol.

Re: Glamour Shots?
Haven't ever done it but I am not saying I would not. Most of my photo ops are of being a mom and spend alot more time behind the camera than in front of it. It might be nice to do some day...haven't had a professional picture made without being with my family in years. I don't know about all the make-up and stuff, people do look like it is caked on and that isn't really my style. I wear make-up but I don't want to look like it was applied with spackle and a puddy knife.

Re: Glamour Shots?
There's no chisel in my make-up case that's for sure. I hardly wear any make-up, only if I'm going out on a date or something, which I know is not happening, so why wear make-up, maybe for some, it's a inspriation every day to feel good, which is fine.

Re: Glamour Shots?
Well, there's a reason their called "Glamour Shots" and not snap shots...they are intended to be more of a glamorous portrait than an everyday photo.

Exactly! I don't wear make up at ALL, but I've always wondered what I would look like in one of those glamour shots. I'd do it just for kicks..... then hide the pic away in a drawer somewhere...

Brother-in-law's ex #2 had some taken, and they made her look, ummm no so bitchy. But of course Moon, you would look "fabulous darling".

Re: Glamour Shots?
Wife took our daughter to have this done for her 18th Birthday. It wasn't cheap but was well worth it - a beautiful set of photos of how beautiful she was at 18!
If they'd let me at it with Photoshop I'd have a go myself!!

Is it any wonder y'all are 2 of my favorite people on here?!
Seriously, though.... I think, if given the chance, every woman should have this done. If they don't like the results, oh well, you gave it a try and sated your curiosity. If you do, well then there's an esteem boost that a lot of women might have needed in their lives. What's the harm in it, right?

Re: Glamour Shots?
Seriously, Moon, you really don't need the glamour shots anyway, but it would be fun to see the results.
