Dont know as I favor any particular time over any other. But you may be interested to know that what you call a "Lunchtime Leap" is referred to as a "nooner" here in the Midwest.

Early morning and late night is the best -- the kids are fast asleep for one.
Early morning allows you to move from that drowsy warm feeling to that hot hurry gotta have you feeling.
Late night lets you explore all the ways to turn each other on knowing you are going to fall asleep in each others arms
