What do you look for in a partner?
I was reading a previous thread about the perfect man or woman, but I'm curious to find out about the obvious.
What do you look for in a partner? Please come up with something more then the obvious

The obvious doesnt come into it with me kinky. He has to have lovely eyes, make me laugh and be caring and considerate, patient and a man not a boy...

He has to have a good sense of humour and be able to make me laugh. I agree with libs, it's the way he looks at you, if he can make me melt with a single look, then i'm all his 
It's hard to explain sometimes, he just has to have that extra something that makes me go all tingly.

We honestly started out being friends. Neither one of us expected this to be a future for us. We were talking about this the other day. He was just looking for a friend and a " fuck buddy ", then in progressed to " friends with benefits ," now our expectations and plans include the rest of our lives.
There are so many components about what makes him my partner. A few of the things are: He's my best friend, he makes me smile just at the sound of his voice, and there is this comfort of just sitting with him. There are so many things about this man that make me know he's the one, I'd say being best friends is what started it off and then the chemistry combustion that occurs between the two of us doesn't hurt at all!

we would have to agree about being best Friends and that we have been for a long time , aways there for each other threw think and thin. helping each other and sometimes just to cuddle.then ya need a certain amount of attraction that might trip your switch....just too much to list

for me? It's about connections. It's about being with someone who makes you happy. No reason, no explanation. Just... happy.
It's about understanding one another, on a level that maybe sometimes the rest of the world just doesn't GET.
It's about finding someone who's willing to work with you to make it work, because they know that you're worth it, even if you don't think you are. And vice versa.
It's about trusting someone so much that all those silly games don't mean anything. Or, sometimes, we know that they do... and we want to play anyways.
What I look for in a partner? Someone who honestly, truly, wants to be with me, and whom I honestly, truly, want to be with.
But then, I've been told that I'm idealistic and overly romantic...

in all honesty? i really don't know what i want in a partner, i thought i had the perfect one, until the divorce....all i really know is that she needs to let me be me, and not try changing me, unless I want to change....and she needs to be completely respectful of my feelings.
does that make any sense??

To have a compassionate heart with a caring soul that can show their love and respect openly, that is down to earth with a laid back/easy going attitude, having similar morals and values, can communicate easily and able to discuss anything (with the ability to comprehend, compromise and resolve), is loyal/trustworthy, non-judgmental, intellectually stimulating, humorous/witty and silly, on the same page with a sexual appetite , has similar interests and the ability to have personal and together time, and to be their own person(accepting the total wholeness of the other person inside and out!) Looks?.... pfftttt!! I'm not one.. never mind.
