Movie/Video Streaming
Some on line sites when watching a movie or video cuts in and out, temporarily stopping it. Is there anything I can do to change settings on my laptop to prevent this?

Try picking a smaller size play back option if available and see if that works better. Or maybe there are options in your player that need to be set.

Also, connecting wirelessly isn't the most stable. I understand it's attraction, but when possible, a wired connection just completely destroys the speed and reliability of a wireless connection.

Re: Movie/Video Streaming
The erratic playback could be caused by the size of the media file(s), or the Internet traffic to those particular sites are congested, like a California freeway at rush hour. Stop and go! Mostly stopped.
One way to find out is to revisit those sites at different time frame, if possible.
