Corporal punishment
Since we got our digital cable TV, I'm being exposed to stations, channels and shows I've never seen before, one is called "The Prince pal's Office"...watched it a couple of times, one episode the school students had a choice in punishment, to spend a half a Saturday in school(detention) or take 3 hard licks with a paddle...I was kinda blown away, I had no idea corporal punishment was still legal or allowed in any schools anymore!

i remember in ill. the Ole Principal paddling ass with the paddle in his pants pocket... never happened to me but seen 2 guys get it in the john, kinda barbaric . also remember friends mothers beating them with hot wheel track ....that shit hurt bad when a little kid whacked me with it....

Ashkats, if I'm not mistaken, I just read something about where a kid was stabbed/killed in WI, or maybe I'm wrong.

we did not have a paddle here we had the belt over your hand, which is not used now, i had seen quite a few kids get it and it looked painful, anyway the last day before it was stopped guess what i got it, six of the best, i was expecting it to be sore but i never really felt much pain, a lot of the kids never took more than 3 strikes on one hand, i took all six on the same hand and went back to my seat and carried on as nothing had happened

ya i havent seen it yet been busy but they found some guy in a culvert yesterday thats been missing ill let ya know if i see it
now adays its child abuse they theach the kids and most of the time, time out dont work eather.nerver reall had any problems with ours they were good kids i guess

I remember and was just talking about the ole princepal's paddle with my older brother, we both got our share of corporal punishment during our school days...the paddle was made by the shop teacher, it was long and had holes drilled in it for less wind drag, more sting...
It was bend over and grab your ankles....and WHACK!!

It isn't legal in any schools over here anymore, won't make a comment how i feel about the subject!!
It was when i was at school, they were still using the cane and the ruler over the knuckles, clip round the ear etc

We also had a few teachers that would dish out the punishment. Ruler on the knuckles and the principal had the "education paddle". I never received any punishment like that, but did jerked out my chair and sent to the principal's office a couple times.

Growing up as a Army Brat  I lived in quite a areas of the U.S., going to many schools. I never saw this form of punishment in any school I attended. I can count on one hand, having only two teachers that were stone, cold-faced B**ches (excuse me), in fact one taught at the prison Sing Sing. Guess I was her pet and invited me to her home with my Mom as we sang songs with her as she played her piano. I was a good girl, and scared to death, especially with those two teachers.

yepper going to svhool in the old days was a gas , getting paddled in the hallways and johns ,we didn't Even have doors on the johns and the stalls , they we later put back on over protests of parents over privacy ,do to everyone smoking , Illinois was the only state i know of were ya could buy cogs at 12 years old in the stores
