Re: Tragedy
Thank you Stevanos, thank you all so much. Yesterday was horrible, just a fuzzy state of confusion and sorrow, but today, I'm sure will be a bit better, and tomorrow will show some signs of healing too.
Thank you all so much for being such a comfort.
My parents called me late the other night, stubborn hillbilly streak I guess, I wanted to call them earlier, but didn't want to disturb them if they were finally getting some rest, and they waited so late to call me for the same reason, they didn't want to disturb me if I was finally getting some rest too....I love my family.

Re: Tragedy
I've been following this thread from the beginning and Chazzy, I cant even begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through. Sadly, death is a part of life. I thought losing my Dad was the most horrible pain Ive ever felt, but to lose a sibling has to be absolutely horrible. And in my opinion, even worse yet, has to be what your parents must be feeling, having just lost a child, and from what I read, it seems that they saw it happen. Absolutely horrible. My heart goes out, not only to you as a freind, but also to your whole family.

Re: Tragedy
Yes, my parents saw it, it happened in thier driveway, daddy managed to jack the car up and when he started to pull my brother out...the jack failed the second time, and the car fell again.
I know grief goes in phases and each day a new phase will begin. Our main concern now of course is our parents who heard his cries, and gave him the cpr, all this...right out their own back door.
For me, I find that anything I can say or do in his memory helps, today it was tying a green ribbon and bow around the ancient oak tree in my front yard. The green ribbon signifies that a loved one was an organ donor. So if you ever see someone out and about with the green ribbon pin, if you didn't know before, you now know what that means.

Re: Tragedy
Ah, me and my baby bro...we were close, it's gonna take awhile, one step at a time but I'm gonna be alright.
His liver went to a father of four children, that kinda helps knowing that now those children will get to keep their father.

Re: Tragedy
Hiya Chazzy
Take one day at a time and from this horrendous tragedy comes new life. I am sure your brother will be very proud of who his passing has helped.
Take all of our wishes and strength and I know, in time, it will be better for you and your family.
Those who pass are never forgotten. xx

Re: Tragedy
Thank you cjroxy, I'm up and around a bit more, a little more lucid, spending some time researching the phases of grief online. I do feel the need to read up on this, and to understand these normal and natural feelings and phases.
It seems to help.
