Christina Applegate
Here's one very brave and classy broad! She finds out she has breast cancer, goes through chemotherapy and then has a double mastectomy with no fuss, no fanfare!! Wow....and at such a relatively young age too!! She says she'll continue her new tv comedy series after a short rest to recover from the surgery.
I always thought she was a smart woman when I found out she invested her "Married With Children" salary in some apartment buildings and didn't go crazy and run with the wrong crowd. Nowadays, that's a rare thing.
Anybody care to comment?

(Unfortunately)..There are 1000's of women who have to deal with this every day. 
They just don't get broadcast.

I agree wholeheartedly.There are a lot of women that endure similar battles everyday without any notoriety.
I especially like the way CA went about her treatments and told no one about her cancer. In an industry known for their troubled stars, she has kept her nose clean and has risen above all that and become a fine lady, someone you'd want your daughters to emulate. jmo

I agree with you VB, there isn't many good role models out there, and i think she makes a good one.
It is hard for any woman to go through this traumatic experience without the added pressure of hiding it from the media as we all no how nasty and uncaring they can be.
It is a terrible thing for any woman to have to go through

I always liked her also. And I just watched an interview with her on Good Morning America. Definitely a classy act.

What a difference with the character she played on "Married With Children". She is one classy broad. I'd want my daughter to be exactly like her!

she carries herself with such glass.My Mother is dealing with skin cancer after have a double mastectomy herself and colon cancer a year and have ago .So knowing what this young lady did in order to save her life makes me admire her even more.A class act.

Your mom's one tough broad herself!!
If I had to have a body part removed, I don't know if I would be that brave!

My Mother has been through Hell and back and still gets up each day with a smile on her face .She is one strong women indeed..

Ps after her battle with colon cancer a year and half ago she had 5 to seven years more at best .I live each day with her knowing this.It is very hard thing to do
