TomTom GPS
Has anybody taken the plunge and purchased a gps unit? How do you like yours? Are you glad you bought it? Have you had an opportunity to use it much?
I bought my TomTom One XLS from QVC. It's not a high end unit but it's simple to use and it gets me where I need to go very nicely. I'd recommend this unit for my friends here at WN.

Re: TomTom GPS
Who'd a thought that you could get directions from a drum.
Personally, I think it's sad that people need a device to tell them where to turn as opposed to getting directions on thier own or reading a map before hand. It's just another distraction to a persons driving.

Re: TomTom GPS
GPS navigation comes in real handy when traveling to strange places. Works very well when you need emergency services in those strange places, too.
I use a Windows based Motorola Q and ALK's Copilot 7. The whole system is totally integrated between computer and phone. So, I can plan the trip on my laptop, transfer it to my cellphone, and then use the phone as the mobile GPS device. Works like a charm.
