Parting Sweet Sorrow
Do you own anything you just can't part with? I have an antique 8 Track player with tons of tapes, and a Sony Dual Cassette player. I just hate to part with these, even though I'm sure I'll never use them again. Maybe I should donate them to the Smithsonian Museum.
... xox

Re: Parting Sweet Sorrow
My good friend Michelle is moving on. She and her ex were a part of my everyday existence until she felt the need to part ways with him. Since the divorce, she has found her a new man and another circle of friends. We have gotten together with the new duo a few times in the last year or so but it's just not the same. We are drifting apart.
Oh well..........

Re: Parting Sweet Sorrow
I remember you talking about Michelle often, back when she was still half of a couple that you and your wife spent some many good times with, and I remember when you talked about Michelle when she wasn't able to move on quite yet.
I'm sorry you're losing touch with such a good long time friend dear, from what you wrote about her here, she sounds like a fine woman....and I wish the best for her and her new beau!

Oh, me too! I want the best for my best girl! I realize you can't go home and I'm fine with that. But the memories...........

Re: Parting Sweet Sorrow
Ah ya many loose touch with one friend, VB...but ya still have all of us here!
There' not much left that I can say I won't part with as far as just things...I have a few sentimental things like a music box from my favorite late aunt. But as far as things go, they're just things...

My theory about women aging is....in their 20's, they are just realizing what they've got under the hood.
The 30's, they have had the goods for a while and they know exactly how to use and display those goods.
In the 40's.....ah, it's cougar time. They can get any man they want....younger, older, whatever. The young guys are fascinated with you girls. I've seen it with my own eyes. A bar full of young girls sittin' around talking amongst themselves but a 40's woman walks in, lookin' fine.....all eyes are riveted on her, mine included!!
So stop your bitchin' and moanin'. Your freakin' hot! Deal with it......

My theory is no BS. My wife and my best female friend both 21y/o with 30 years experience, had a bar full of 20 somethin' guys, at their mercy. The ladies were dressed very conservatively and yet the guys were talking to them to the chagrin of the 20 somethin' girls that were all but being ignored. I was amazed at that!!
But Hot....if you were to go into a bar wearing something akin to what your wearing in your pic..... what you don't think you'd draw some "attention"? Please!!!!!
