Re: 52 billion?
And ya know, the locals here are more concerned with the future of the AB owned Grant's Farm and the Clydesdales..

Re: 52 billion?
All I heard on the news was than AB was sold.
This sounds more like they did a real merger instead of an outright buy. I doubt the new company will eliminate Grants FArms, the Clydsdales, Buch gardens or any of the other attractions that AB has built. Thhjis article stated that the breweries would all remain open. Of course they also wanted to try and keep all the management possible.
I saw the Clydsdales in Appleton, WI in about 1974. I walkd up to pet one but changed my mind when I noticed how large the hooves are.

Re: 52 billion?
There are just rumors now, about how InBev has already done the math on what it costs to run Grant's Farm and maintain the Clydesdales and how these things figure into big budget cuts.
Dammit, we just love the Clydesdales, don't wanna see that tradition messed with.

Re: 52 billion?
I'm thinking that InBev will be smart enough to understand that if they eliminate the Clydsdales, Grants Farm, Busch Gardens, etc that there won't be much Bud products sold.

Re: 52 billion?
I do think you are so right there! What the hell, Budwieser without the Clydedales? Just anothe beer, the Clydesdale team does so much fund raising and charity work...and besides it would be like banning Mickey Mouse from Disney World.

Re: 52 billion?
You should look this up on wikipedia. I just spent 15 minutes reading all of ABs' products.

Re: 52 billion?
I was just reading an interesting article about Rolling Rock Brewery, located in PA, on Wikipedia which was sold to Anheuser-Busch of St. Louis, Missouri in mid 2006, transferred brewing operations to New Jersey.
