Imagine That?
With the way our world is today, and society, have you ever wondered what the future holds for us with science/technology, medicine, etc . We've all watched Sci-Fi movies, Back to the Future movies... what do you foresee or would like to see happen?

i have a feeling that the future isn't gonna be nice to humans. From the way things are going now, i have a feeling a lot will be lost...and maybe to avoid the worst, we might start inhabiting other planets....

The advancement of medicine fascinates me, it's marvelous,scary, and it brings up so many questions and issues of ethics too which is why I always find it a great topic of discussion.
I know that it's becoming common practice now for parents to save and freeze the umbilical cords, which can and do get used by that child if needed later on when a medical dilemma strikes. (There's been a recent headlining story about one family doing this)

I think that it will not be long until cars as we know them now will no longer exist. Hover crafts are being researched now and I can see us all breezing through the air. Also think that we will be able to program them where we want to go and just sit back until we get there.

The world and its inhabitants scares me for my childrens future!!, Therefore, I tend not to think too far ahead!! and take each wonderful day as it comes and enjoy it as best I can.

I think about the flying cars alot! The medical technology from DNA to all sorts of weird inventions, trust me their strange. The future of our society, living in special clothing due to the atmosphere, living in starship enterprises, having Androids and computers basically running most of our lives, our social environment would suffer. At times it seems real cool, then again not being able to go outside picking an apple off the tree, or walking along the ocean shores trickling my feet through water I'm not so sure if I could live without nature within hands reach.

DNA is double sided, I think it's fantastic what it can do for medicine, science, and forensics....but then again, will we advance with it to the point where when a baby is born, blood is drawn and a huge portion of the child's future is readable...just doesn't seem right that at birth, anyone would have enough info to fairly give an accurate estimation of their life span years and the odds of what kind of quaility of life they most likely will have.
