Re: One hit wonders?
Loudon Wainwright III has had a fair sort of career as a "folkie", not that that takes him out of the One-Hit-Wonder category. Some OHW's back in the 60's and 70's, like Edison Lighthouse, were strictly studio bands put together to do one album. Now, do you remember "Dancing in the Moonlight" by King Harvest?

Re: One hit wonders?
Stabilizers- "One simple thing" (1982)
from the Tyranny album. The group was from Erie, Pa.
The drummer was "yours truly"......
--------------------------------------------------------
My wife was also in a rock band as a backup singer. They didn't have any "hits", but the group Friction recorded a song named "On Friday night I go punk".... Which I thought was really good.

Re: One hit wonders?
Believe it or not...the Grateful Dead could be considered a ONE HIT WONDER...seeing how the song Touch of Grey was their only top 10 hit...

I've bookmarked the search results for both, not much time tonight, but gonna try to check out a few in the next few days.
