Sometimes I wonder...
Sometimes I wonder, I wonder and ponder the deep philosophical meaning of life...sometimes I just wonder about stupid things..like...is it just me, or does it just feel oh so really, really good when you scratch an itch on the bottom of you foot?

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
There are some things we are not meant to know, the meaning of life and that itch you can't scratch. I am going to get ready and watch Billy Ray and the true story of "Hillbilly's" or is that the meaning of? Gotta pop some popcorn first.

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
How do we come about having favorite colors anyway? What makes us just naturally look at one color and say..."Oooooo pretty!!!" and another color makes us say "Yuck icky nasty!!"

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
Gawd, Goody is right, you sound more and more like Archie every day...
Gawd forbid, VB,..that you would open you clamped mind to things that are of interest to anyone else! Geez, seriously....it's just an extremely informative program on American History.
Well, we are total opposites, cuz if someone finds something interesting, I make an effort to find out a little something about it too...it's a really big cool world out there VB...all kinds of people that think, live, dress, in all kinds of ways and believe in all kinds of things that are outside the box you keep your conservative mind in ....allot of good people out there with good open minds covered by long or weird hair.
What, Didn't you think George Carlin should have hired a stylist, and should have gave up the T-shirts and jeans while he still was here with us or do you go for the double standard, it's alright for Carlin to look Hippie to the hilt, but not alright for people to wear t-shirts to the mall, or for Billy Ray to give up his mullet for something a little more updated?
So there! Mr. Conservative Grumpy Butt!!!
(I'm joking with the man here ya'all...oh sure, I'm trying to make a point here too, but ya'all know I have no ill or negative feelings for VB (or anyone else) I figure if he likes to play rough once in awhile, then I can step out of my usual kindness circle and give it to him...So VB, you just run home, grab the Bactine and spiderman band-aids and tell your momma you're gonna go out and play with the big kids...)

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
Sometimes I wonder why our own voices sound so odd to us when we hear ourselves on a recording?

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
I really don't wanna know everything, don't want everything to be explained logically, and everything to be discovered...I like our minds to wander and conjure up our own theories, imagine the mysterious, and that we can take our "leaps of faith" ...
Do you see the same Cornflower Blue in the crayon box that I see? Is it somehow slightly different in tone, shade and hue to each of us? Do you hear the nuances of music, do you hear every note the way I hear it?
I like to think that we each have a very different view, smell, taste and sight of the world from each other. The variances...I know with my very poor eyesight, without anything correcting my eyes, my world looks like a watercolor or even a bold Van Gogh painting. I imagine for some with color blindness, the world looks like an Ansel Williams photo...and for those with that perfect 20/20, I can't even imagine really...

...and how about my original question? Does it feel really really good to scratch an itch on the bottom of your foot?

Well yeh.....most times I have to use something really rough such as a very rough surface to soothe an itch on the bottom of my foot. Then and only then, does it feel good.....better than sex!!

Re: Sometimes I wonder...
I think it feels good to scratch an itch anywhere. Here's one for you to ponder. Who decided blue is blue and red is red? If we had been taught otherwise the color we think of as blue might be red and vice versa. The same goes for shapes. Who decided those?? We could have thought of a square as a circle and a circle as a square. We know what we are taught.

In a number of cases I think we associate colors with items that color, for instance, "baby poop yellow" isn't a color most people would find endearing.

I know a person that had a car painted that color from the factory. Not sure why, but it angered his boss.
