I remeber the movie, who was the lead lady role? I"m thinkin' Glenda whatshername or maybe even Carol Burnette???
To me, Cheating is cheating regardless of who knows and who doesn't.

Re: Same Time Next Year!
the name of the actress was Ellen Burstyn, and i thought it was a very good movie. unfortunately for me,my chance at having that type of relationship moved so far away that i just dont have access to her any longer. when she was dating her present husband,we managed to get together twice and have very hot, intense sex!i still dream about those times....................

Ellen! Yes of course! Don't know why I couldn't think of her name, I think I was confusing her with anothe romantic comedy actress of that era...Glenda Jackson maybe? Glenda did a few leading roles with George Segal I think....

Re: Same Time Next Year!
I have the movie on CD and yes I think it is a good one. Chazz is right, cheating is cheating and there is no grey area no matter how much you try to justify it. On the other hand Jesus taught when he was here on earth that to lust in your heart is still adulterous. Now how many of us can honestly say that we have not done that at one time or another? I know I sure can't. Another great movie along the same lines is "Bridges of Madison County" with Clint Eastwood. I recommend that you watch it if you liked this one.

Re: Same Time Next Year!
Oh no, I won't "judge" anyone who cheats, (cheat is a sleazy sounding word for it really) but I do have a personal definition of cheating.
People need human warmth and intimacy as much as air.

Re: Same Time Next Year!
How about the ones that have the okay from their spouse,is it still cheating? I'm not married or seeing anyone so I guess I'll never find out!I'm just doomed to be alone.

Re: Same Time Next Year!
I think anything extra marital, anything other than monogamy is cheating...like I said, not a pretty word to describe what some do, or need to do and I'm sure not judging...cheating is just a word that is common to use..."An affair" does sound better doesn't it?

Re: Same Time Next Year!
That was one great movie! I love period pieces. It had Alda wearing clothing and hairstyles particular to the times with it all changing with each changing year that the characters met up in that vacation home. Very well acted. With Alda and Burstein......no surprise there.
I think I'll go rent that dvd tonite!!
As for the extra-marital thing......I don't think I could pull it off. To many contingencies to consider and overcome!! jmo
